Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our 21 bedded elderly Rehabilitation unit and palliative care on Avocet Ward. We are looking for a Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager to join our team. You will assist in leading our dedicated team in the provision of expert patient care and rehabilitation. ALL APPLICANTS SHOULD HAVE A FULL NMC REGISTRATION.

As a registered nurse, assist in the provision of active rehabilitation within this 21 bedded inpatient environment. The role includes assessing needs, developing and implementing programmes of care, and evaluating input to support appropriate discharge back to the community. The post will support the ward manager in ensuring effective and efficient day-to-day running of the ward, ensuring safety at all times. The post holder is responsible for providing all aspects of patient care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. The post holder will supervise all junior staff and be able to teach qualified and unqualified staff.
