A leading NHS trust in the UK seeks a Deputy Team Leader for its orthopaedic theatres in Norwich. The role involves managing the orthopaedic service, supervising patient care, and collaborating with clinical teams. Candidates must be Registered Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners with leadership experience. Competitive salary ranging from £38,682 to £46,580 pro rata, with excellent NHS benefits.
We are an exceptional specialist Orthopaedic department with a worldwide reputation for innovation and most importantly for excellent patient care and treatment.
We currently have 5 operating theatres within our main theatre complex involving 2 theatres linked to our major trauma centre. We are currently developing a stand alone 2 theatre orthopaedic elective complex (NANOC).
We have 37 orthopaedic consultants who specialist in all aspects of orthopaedic surgery, elective and trauma. We are currently one of the largest orthopaedic departments in the country with several connections to overseas programs, local initiatives and research projects.
The orthopaedic theatre team consists of approximately 80 members of staff. This includes Registered Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners (ODP) who work in both surgery and anaesthetics, Nursing Associates (NA) and theatre support workers (TSW) all working competently to support the philosophy of multi-skilling and integration of theatre personnel.
