Overview
Deputy Project Performance Manager at Jacobs. You will support some of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes, applying lean methodologies to ensure the efficient delivery of complex packages. You will work closely with other Project Performance Managers and colleagues to provide seamless support to integrated project and client teams, contributing to the success of high-profile civil infrastructure construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery for selected work packages and ensure on-time delivery in line with project governance and assurance requirements, often working unsupervised with minimal direction.
- Coordinate teams, manage priorities, balance workloads, and remove blockages; report on performance and escalate issues to workstream managers.
- Build strong working relationships to enable effective communication, including with remote technical experts, internal stakeholders, and the client.
- Facilitate planning and problem-solving workshops and drive decision-making on complex issues using Lean tools and techniques (e.g., Collaborative Planning, Visual Management, Last Planner).
- Support a civil infrastructure/construction programme and/or project environment with multiple stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Engage with clients and build relationships, presenting findings and recommendations clearly.
- Apply best-practice ways of working, promoting continuous improvement and an innovative culture across integrated teams.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating within a civil infrastructure/construction programme and/or project environment with multiple stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with client engagement and relationship building.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Some experience with Task Management Tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Planner), Power Query, PowerApps, PowerBI, and/or Power Automate.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Teams.
- Investigative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail; able to manage large work packages with resilience and strong organisational skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and a can-do attitude when working with varied teams and clients.
