Qualifications

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a Deputy, Assistant Manager or Senior RSW role within residential childcare.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, legislation, and leadership within a care home environment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Manual – Essential).
  • Fluent in English with strong communication and IT skills.

  • Support with recruitment, rota management, supervisions, and audits.
  • Work closely with education and therapeutic professionals to deliver holistic care.

Overview

Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Oldham - OL4
Provision: Children’s Residential Home (Ages 7–17, EBD & Mild Learning Difficulties) - This is a New Home for an Established Provider
Hours: 48 hours per week, days only, rolling rota (you will manage the rota, including your own shifts) - Sleep will be required
Salary: £38,600 per annum

About the Role

Are you an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker or Deputy Manager ready to step up and lead a high-quality team? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, values-led organisation that delivers care, education, and therapy to children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Mild Learning Difficulties (MLD).

You’ll work closely with an experienced Registered Manager, helping to shape a safe, supportive environment and lead your team in delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people.
