Job summary

A local children's care provider is seeking a Deputy Manager to work in a busy children’s home in Tameside. The role involves managing young people with complex emotional and behavioral needs and supporting the staff team. Ideal candidates will be empathetic, organized, and have a passion for working with youth. The position requires previous experience and NVQ Level 5 or a willingness to obtain this qualification. This is a permanent role with a salary range of £46,142 - £48,226 for 36 hours a week.

We are looking for a Deputy Manager for a busy children’s home that provides 24‑hour care within Children’s Residential Services. You will be working in a Children’s Home caring for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, and supporting the staff team alongside the Registered Manager.

36 Hours a week, with on call duties, as part working rota that covers, evenings, weekend, Bank Holidays and UK holidays

  • NVQ level 5 (or willing to work towards this)

Whilst qualification to Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services is an advantage, we accept and encourage applications from candidates who do not hold this qualification.

We will support you to complete the qualification on starting in the role. The qualification will equip you with knowledge and skills to help you succeed in this role and must be completed within 2 years.
