Overview

Depot Manager - £50,000-£55,000 + Company Car allowance

Our client is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to take full ownership of their busy and successful depot. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a role where you will have real influence and control over how the depot operates, driving efficiency, performance, and team development.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards, and leading business improvement initiatives. A key part of the role will be providing strong leadership, coaching, and training to build a motivated and high-performing team, while fostering a culture of accountability, communication, and Health & Safety.

Responsibilities
  • Full management of depot operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 15+ employees to deliver outstanding results.
  • Optimise depot layout, maintain a clean and organised environment, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure staff are trained and confident in new systems and processes.
  • Uphold and champion Health & Safety standards, compliance, and best practice.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven track record managing teams of 15+ staff, with strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Skilled at motivating, developing, and coaching teams.
  • Strong process understanding, with the ability to analyse data and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Experience in compliance and Health & Safety (CPC or NEBOSH qualifications highly advantageous).
  • Organised, detail-focused, and able to perform well under pressure.
  • Approachable and adaptable, with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
