Overview

Alexander Steele is recruiting a Demand Planner to join a well-established and fast-growing food business based in Northamptonshire. This role ensures the alignment of supply and demand through effective forecasting, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Demand Planner to make the next step in their career.

Responsibilities
  • Build excellent working relationship with commercial, marketing and finance team members.
  • Monitor demand trends, identify risks in supply fluctuations, and implement mitigation plans to maintain service continuity.
  • Develop and align short, medium, and long-term demand forecasts with business goals in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Analyse forecast accuracy by tracking demand vs. forecast, highlighting variances, and driving corrective actions.
  • Report on KPIs including forecast bias, accuracy, and forecast value add (FVA) to support S&OP and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years experience in demand planning roles, ideally within a food environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in demand planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Must have a strong understanding of S&OP processes and demand planning factors.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Excel skills.
  • Excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders across various levels.
