A leading global insurance firm in Northern Ireland is seeking a Delegated Authority Financial Lines Underwriter to manage a panel of DA partners. This role focuses on underwriting in line with growth targets and delivering excellent customer service. Candidates should have strong negotiation, analytical skills, and ideally possess a Cert CII with commitment to achieving Dip CII. The position allows for flexible working arrangements and offers a competitive benefits package including salary, bonus, and health insurance.
Our Commercial Delegated Authority Partnership (DAP) team are currently looking to enhance their team and are excited to bring to market an opportunity to join them as a Delegated Authority Financial Lines Underwriter. Reporting into the Trading Team Manager you'll gain exposure to the Commercial market and develop key technical skills, under the guidance of a specialist and supportive team. Driving excellent service to our Delegated Authority partners and delivering the basics well, you'll have a desire for continued learning and personal development. In addition, by working as part of the DAP team, responsible for the profitability, income and regulatory compliance you'll have the opportunity to gain an understanding of this specialist team, what it does and where it sits within the wider AXA business. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre‑employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
