Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage all technical aspects of live sports transmissions including check-in, configuration, and monitoring.
  • Perform advanced monitoring and troubleshooting across IP networks (Arista, Net Insight), video encoders (Mediakind, Appear), and system infrastructure (Linux/Windows).
  • Support incident management by investigating and resolving issues, producing detailed reports, and participating in post-incident reviews.
  • Maintain and improve documentation, workflows, and infrastructure relating to the client-specific technology stack.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and clients in a high-pressure live environment.
  • Participate in matchday coverage rotas (shift-based, non-overnight) including weekends and some holidays.
Skills/Must have
  • Proven experience in a network or broadcast engineering role, ideally within live transmission environments.
  • Strong understanding of IP media transport protocols: RTP, ST 2022-7, SRT, UDP, Multicast.
  • Experience with network equipment (Cisco, Arista, Net Insight) and professional encoders (Mediakind, Appear).
  • Familiarity with video monitoring tools (TAG, Bridgetech) and system monitoring platforms (Zabbix, Grafana).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain focus during live events.
  • Willingness to work flexible, event-based hours.
