A regulatory agency for health products in London is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Clinical Practice Research Datalink team. The role focuses on developing data processing solutions and ensuring data quality, with a degree in computer science or related fields required. We are currently looking for a Data Scientist to join our Clinical Practice Research Datalink team in the Safety and Surveillance group. This is a full-time opportunity on a 24-month fixed term/internal move or temporary promotion basis. The role will be based at 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf London, E14 4PU. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) enhances and improves the health of millions of people every day through the effective regulation of medicines and medical devices, underpinned by science and research. The Safety and Surveillance Group brings together devices and medicines safety expertise with enforcement capabilities, supported by data and evidence generating capabilities and the new Safety Connect System. The CPRD (Clinical Practice Research Datalink), part of the Safety and Surveillance group with support from NIHR, is the UK’s preeminent research service providing access to anonymised NHS data for research.
We are implementing a flexible, hybrid working model with a minimum of 4 days per month on site to enable collaboration with partners and stakeholders. Attendance on site is driven by business needs and may range up to 8 days per month, with remaining time remote or in the office. Salary: £44,825 per year, with £12,985 contributed towards the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
