Overview

This is a Fixed Term role for 12 months working full-time.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly, welcoming and supportive team and to become involved in leading the provision of excellent levels of support to all SAIL Databank users and projects across a range of services. You will be part of a team of data scientists playing a core role in facilitating the activities of the SAIL Databank, enabling users and projects across their journey with SAIL, including but not limited to: from the inception of a project with scoping, applying for approvals, provisioning data to approved projects, as well as providing expertise about use of the data and reviewing and approving output requests.

The SAIL Databank is a world-class trusted research environment with robust and secure policies and processes enabling the access and use of anonymised individual-level data for research to improve health, well-being and services. The SAIL Databank is internationally recognised, backed and endorsed by the Government, with the SAIL Databank receiving core funding from the Welsh Government’s Health and Care Research Wales and other funders. Currently, the SAIL Databank is enabling and supporting around 350 active research projects and receives 60-70 new applications every year.
