Overview

D.T Technician - Leeds - Immediate Start
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Agency: Veritas Education
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: up to 160 per day

Veritas Education are working with a secondary school in Leeds seeking an experienced Design & Technology Technician to join their team immediately.

This is a full-time, term-time only position, ideal for someone with practical experience in a school setting or relevant workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain tools, equipment, and materials for D.T lessons
• Support teachers in delivering lessons across all D.T specialisms including Resistant Materials, Electronics, Textiles, Product Design, and ideally Food Technology
• Ensure all equipment is used safely and health & safety protocols are followed
• Assist with demonstrations and provide technical guidance to students
• Carry out maintenance and basic repairs on tools and machinery

Requirements

• Previous experience as a D.T technician or in a similar practical role
• Confident handling D.T workshop equipment and materials
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures in an educational setting
• Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
