Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Band 3 Administrator to join the team.

This role is based at Marsden House 0-18 Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Services and supports the team with all administration.

Key requirements: experience with Microsoft Office, ability to work with the public, excellent communication and time‑management skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Working hours: up to 30 hours per week. The role requires working both in the Chester office and at the satellite clinic in Kingsley Resource Centre, Ellesmere Port.

The Trust supports the RealLivingWage hourly rate and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.

Main Duties

Provide a strictly confidential administrative service, using electronic communication, computers and databases to support the effective delivery of the role.

Exercise total discretion at all times when working with the team and outside agencies.

Support young people and their families who use our services, responding appropriately to sensitive information.

Person Specification
  • Knowledge & expertise (Essential): Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; understanding of confidentiality.
  • Desirable: Audio typing skills; minute/note‑taking experience.
  • Qualifications (Essential): Evidence of good typing skills (e.g. RSA 111/NVQ Level III or equivalent).
  • Desirable: ECDL.
  • Experience (Essential): Providing secretarial/administrative duties.
  • Desirable: Experience working in a health environment; working as part of a team in an office; general finance systems; processes and procedures within this service area; supporting the organisation of seminars, conferences, workshops, etc.
