Customs Specialist

£40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

Newry

Are you a subject matter expert within the Customs Industry? Are you looking for a new role where you can utilise your expertise and solve problems for customers?

Working alongside the Transport team, your day to day will consist of speaking with new and current customers to discuss any issues they are having with their current Customs processes, whilst also planning ahead to overcome any potential changes within Customs legislation.

As an industry expert, you will also be assisting the Customs team with any issues that arise in the day to day processing of declarations for UK, ROI & EU movements.

This role would suit someone with a sound understanding of customs regulations who is looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role:
  • Identification & Implementation of strategic customs processes
  • Liaising with importers/exporters and others to obtain all necessary information.
  • Deal with enquiries quickly and efficiently relating to; customs procedures, tariff classifications and duty rates.
  • Working closely with Clients to determine current & future requirements.
  • Sharing knowledge with the Customs team to ensure all declarations are completed accurately and efficiently
