The role involves creating customs declarations, preparing paperwork for exports, and coordinating transport logistics. The position offers a competitive salary of up to £40,000 with a Monday to Friday work schedule, and occasional weekend cover required.

Qualifications

• Previous customs, export, import experience is a must.
• Good understanding of customs systems, preferably Descartes, Conex, Boxtop.
• Good general IT skills and knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Create Customs declarations ensuring correct codes used for import & export.
• Create transit documents and ensure compliance.
• Prepare paperwork for export including raising airway bills.
• Arrange transport for international and domestic.
• Cost and provide quotes for inquiries.
• Coordinate day-to-day schedule for drivers.

Amour Recruitment is seeking an experienced Customs Broker to work for fantastic company based in Feltham, Ashford.

This role will provide a full customs brokerage service to all domestic and international clients

Duties include :

• Create Customs declarations ensuring correct codes / schemes used for both import & export.
• Create transit documents and ensure Customs compliant.
• Prepare all paperwork for export, including raising airway bills.
• Arrange transport for both international and domestic from start to finish
• Cost and provide quotes for all enquiries, offering advice on transit and Customs formalities.
• Co-ordinate day to day schedule for drivers & use of subcontractors.
• Load and unload vehicles when necessary, keeping record of goods in warehouse.

Personal requirements:

• Previous customs, export, import experience is a must
• Good understanding of customs systems, preferably Descartes, Conex, Boxtop.
• Good general IT skills and understanding and a good knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 0900-1800 (occasional weekend cover for sickness, holiday etc but overtime or time off in lieu will be offered)

Salary : up to £40,000
