Overview

Department: Customer Service
Location: 15 St Andrews Road, Huddersfield, HD1 6SB
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift: Monday – Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Reporting to: Service Director
Salary Range: Dependent on experience

Responsibilities
  • Provide a high level of customer service via email and telephone communication.
  • Oversee end-to-end sales order processing, from order entry and confirmation to coordination with production and logistics teams. Ensure all customer requirements are accurately captured and communicated, proactively update customers on order status, and address any changes or delays throughout the production cycle.
  • Address all customer enquiries, taking action as needed or ensuring they are passed to the appropriate individual or department.
  • Provide cover for fellow customer service support roles as necessary.
  • Welcome all guests on-site and accommodate them accordingly.
  • Maintain security for the building by adhering to Visitors & Contractors procedures.
  • Manage the switchboard and keep track of guests arriving for appointments and their departure.
  • Provide refreshments for visitors and maintain the boardroom and other meeting rooms.
Quality Improvement
  • Identify and process quality improvement records, reporting any non-conformance or potential issues, along with corrective actions.
  • Work closely with colleagues to achieve the aims and objectives of the business, fostering a team approach to meet customer and business requirements.
General Responsibilities
  • Participate fully in the life of the company, contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Perform all other administration tasks as required.

Working Conditions

Office Environment: This position is based in a dedicated reception area for welcoming visitors. The work environment is professional and dynamic, requiring interaction with both customers and team members.

Hours: Standard working hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Friday, with occasional flexibility required to accommodate visitor schedules or special events.

Equipment: The role involves the use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and the switchboard. Proficiency in relevant software applications is essential.
