The Customer Service Representative role will be based at HydraForce Hydraulics in Birmingham, England

Job Description
  • Efficiently manage designated customer base, liaising with customers regarding orders, dealing with delivery enquiries and providing information to proactively support customers and meet their needs
  • Checking and processing customer orders/sales orders/prototypes, including inputting orders into MRP(Material Requirement Planning) system
  • Resolving price queries either with customers direct or with Regional Sales Managers before processing begins, ensuring quoted prices are implemented where necessary
  • Investigate, coordinate and resolve pricing issues, credits and invoice issues
  • Act as an account management specialist, managing client accounts taking steps to grow the clients spend.
  • Liaise with internal staff across a range of departments, to ensure timely processing /shipping of customer orders and resolution of queries
  • Ensure customer handover information is up to date in readiness for any absences
  • Access Customer Websites as requested by the customers to carry out tasks, eg downloading orders/schedules, confirming shipping dates, requesting changes to shipping dates, monitoring, investigating and reporting on delivery performance.
  • Maintain/manage Business Management System certification (ISO 90001,14001,45001 and PED directive)
  • Liaise with Regional Sales Managers about customer trends, market information and feedback/supply chain to management as necessary to report back to department Manager.
  • Manage all aspects of the customer order book including reporting and feedback as required
Qualifications
  • Customer services background and experience preferred
  • Computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Proficient in use of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) & MRP (Material Requirement Planning) systems preferred
  • Background in Engineering/Manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying solutions and delivering recommendations,
  • Able to work accurately with attention to detail
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop strong, professional relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize a number of activities
  • Effective written skills, with the ability to provide concise and clear information
  • Enthusiastic, team player who can demonstrate initiative consistently and demonstrate flexibility
  • Self-motivated, displaying a willingness to learn, capable of multi-tasking and comfortable when working under pressure
