Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching within the English and Maths Curriculum is a must.
  • Management experience in Further Education is desirable but not essential.

Curriculum Development Manager – English and Maths

Ref: 129810

Salary: £41,858 to £44,405 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Castleford College

We are looking for a Curriculum Development Manager to join our passionate English and Maths team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference by providing effective leadership alongside teaching and learning to help learners and teachers succeed.

We are looking for enthusiastic professionals who can promote a culture of excellent behaviour, motivation and high learner performance through excellent standards of teaching and learning. In addition, you should be an excellent team player and have a passion for supporting students to succeed.

You will:
  • Assist in overseeing the management and development of curriculum
  • Line manage and lead the English and Maths team
  • Support the implementation of local and college strategies to improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment
  • Be a key driver in monitor the curriculum area’s performance and implementing the Quality Improvement Plan
  • Support teachers and staff to comply with the Group’s quality processes
You will have:
  • GCSE in English and Maths A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
  • PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification
  • Successful experience of teaching within the English and Maths Curriculum
  • Management experience in FE is desirable but not essential
