Join a forward-thinking organization dedicated to empowering young people through exciting and engaging activities. As a volunteer, you'll play a crucial role in delivering a balanced programme that fosters skills for life while ensuring a safe environment for children aged 8 to 10 1/2. Your passion and enthusiasm will help inspire the next generation as they work towards their Chief Scout Silver Award. With flexible volunteering options, you can contribute as much or as little as you can, making a meaningful impact in your community. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your own skills while making a difference in the lives of young people.
Role
Working with the Cub section, helping the Young People aged 8 to 10 1/2 years, have fun, learn skills for life and work towards earning their Chief Scout Silver Award.
You, as part of the team, will help plan and deliver activities in a safe and secure environment, ensure personal records are kept up to date, adhere to the groups policies and procedures and undertake role specific training, as and when required, this may include a First Aid course, all of which are provided free of charge.
Expectations
Time commitment
Sessions run during term time, and you will have the opportunity to join the camps and activities organised (ahead of time) in the school holidays.
Flexible volunteering is all that they are about so no time is too little and don’t think you need any skills, nor do you need to commit to a weekly schedule, there is always a role for you in the Group.
All we ask for is a desire to learn and enthusiasm to work with young people. If you can only help out once a month, they can make it work.
Location
Cubs meet on Tuesdays at 6:30 to 8pm at De Morley Garth, Sheringham.
