Job summary

CT Senior Radiographer

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic radiographer to join our friendly, supportive CT team working across both Newark and Kings Mill sites.

This post requires previous CT experience and offers development and training, with a wide range of examinations undertaken for ED, Inpatients and outpatients. We currently have 3 CT scanners across the Trust, operational 7 days per week, 12 hours a day. Weekend, evening and bank holiday working are required as part of this role and cross-site and rotation across the sites.

We're seeking someone with previous CT experience and a positive, proactive approach to teamwork and patient care.

Person Specification
Knowledge
  • Underpinning theory and professional knowledge acquired through diploma/degree
  • Specialist expertise, underpinned by theory and practical experience acquired through diploma/ degree/post graduate study.
Qualifications
  • DCR R or BSc(Hons Radiography Post graduate qualification in CT
Further Training
  • Trained to perform IV injections
  • Ability to Reconstruct Images
Experience
  • Significant band 5 experience This may be supplemented by short courses + CPD.
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Teaching skills significant experience of working at band 5 level in a department rotating into CT Department.
Contractual requirements
  • Extended days, weekends and bank holiday
