Salary & Contract

Salary: £109,725 - £145,478 per annum

Contract: Substantive

Hours & Location

Full‑time: 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 7.5:2.5)

On call: Frequency 1:7; Category B – 2% on call supplement

Location: Stapleford House, Stapleford Close, Chelmsford, CM2 0QX

Qualifications
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
Responsibilities

To be successful in your application, you will need to demonstrate that you can:

  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Southend, Essex, and Thurrock (SET)
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Work directly with young people and their families and liaise appropriately with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
  • Participate in the on‑call rota, with a 1:7 frequency and a 2% basic salary, Category B supplement
  • Support peers and the team leader, acting as an effective team member while respecting their individual initiatives
  • Collaborate with a Specialty Doctor and other health and social professionals and agencies

  • GMC Essential: Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • Qualifications Essential: CCT or equivalent
  • Knowledge Essential: Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Knowledge Essential: Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
