Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller, this role provides credit control and departmental administrational support and links to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contacting clients by phone / e‑mail regarding outstanding monies (Access Financials)
  • Ensuring master data is accurate and current
  • Generating and sending out invoices
  • Handle disputed invoices and negotiate to bring payment within agreed terms
  • Managing client credit limits including credit checking and ensuring maintenance of credit insurance position
  • Liaising with stakeholders to agree a temporary / permanent stop to trading.
  • Initiate legal process where necessary
  • Allocating cash receipts in the general ledger and daily banking
  • Weekly aged debt reporting including: debtors days, on stop, daily receipts etc.
  • Manage and maintain cash and debtor day targets
  • Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness
  • All work to be submitted within agreed network deadlines.
  • General administration duties including: filing, ordering of stationery
Requirements
  • Credit Control qualifications would be preferable not essential
  • Microsoft Office user essential
  • Knowledge of Excel functions / data validation is essential
  • Good communicator with credit control experience – good verbal and written skills
  • Organised logical thinker, ability to prioritise with excellent numerate skills
  • Demonstrates the ability and capacity to develop productive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly and professional manner
  • A solution finder, capable of effectively working through problems
