Social Strategy Lead

The Social Strategy Lead shapes the strategic and creative direction of a growing Social practice, combining visionary leadership with hands‑on execution across a diverse client portfolio. This role requires fluency in both paid and organic social, alongside expert creative knowledge of how brands build discoverability and drive growth on social platforms.

The Social Strategy Lead is responsible for guiding teams and clients through the rapid evolution of the social landscape, shaping the agency's social service proposition and leading the delivery of scroll‑stopping creative strategies. This role calls for a visionary thinker who can execute strategic ideas and is a true creative at heart.

As the agency's leading creative authority for social, you will develop award‑winning strategies for key accounts, drive thought leadership, support new business efforts, and elevate the wider team through mentorship and innovation.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation of authentic, forward‑facing, scroll‑stopping creative strategies for clients and new business pitches
  • Act as the go‑to authority for social creative within the agency, setting standards for creative excellence
  • Lead creative storytelling in QBRs and strategy sessions, translating ideas into compelling, data‑backed strategies, clearly communicating ROI and pivoting where necessary
  • In collaboration with senior social leadership, contribute to the agency's social vision by evolving the Social practice roadmap, identifying service gaps, driving innovation, and taking new products to market to ensure a market‑leading offering
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives that establish the agency's point of view on social platforms, emerging trends, and what defines winning creative strategies
  • Identify cross‑channel growth opportunities and collaborate with commercial and client leadership teams to develop winning proposals
  • Identify and implement cutting‑edge tools, formats, and tactics that elevate client performance
  • Build both the agency's and your personal brand by representing the business as an authority on social‑speaking at conferences, creating thought leadership content (including case studies and third‑party publications), and hosting webinars or client events
Key Attributes
  • Social is your native language-you instinctively spot emerging trends, plan upcoming campaigns, and transform winning creative concepts into high‑performing content quickly and effectively
  • Deep understanding of how social commerce and performance‑driven social activity generate ROI
  • Practical experience delivering influencer‑or creator‑led initiatives, ideally within an agency environment
  • Comfortable justifying creative recommendations and refining tactics based on real‑time performance and results
  • Thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic environments and understand how to balance creativity with measurable outcomes
  • Detail‑oriented and process‑driven, with proven success delivering scroll‑stopping social creative strategies
