Overview

A vacancy has recently arisen for a Creative Arts Therapist (Music, Drama, Art Therapy) to work for 3 days per week at Orchard Hill College. Students follow a personalised programme, supported by specialist personal tutors, therapists and nurses, including work and community-based learning opportunities that reflect student aspirations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Arts Therapist who will work collaboratively with other Arts therapists, and with the wider MDT and teaching staff at the College, with the aim of providing a holistic therapeutic approach to their work with students.

The Creative Arts Therapies are part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team at College, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses, Multi-therapy and Health Care Assistants.

Requirements

You will have an MA or equivalent qualification in a Creative Art Therapy with UK HCPC Registration, and a degree in a relevant field. You will ideally have 2 years’ post qualification experience, including experience of working with students who have severe/profound and multiple learning disabilities as well as ASD and behaviours of concern. The scope of the clinical work offered would include clinical assessment.
