The Role3>

Vision For Education are looking to appoint a Creative Art Assistant to work with young people with SEND and SEMH in various schools around the Rotherham area. An ideal candidate for the role of Creative Art Assistant will be someone who can work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable and have excellent communication skills. The desired Creative Art Assistant will have a passion for working with young people and be able to build rapport quickly, supporting young people in making positive choices. The role will hold the usual responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant within a SEND school environment but also be able to incorporate their creative arts skills where required by school.

Requirements

The desired Creative Art Assistant will have:

  • Experience of working with secondary and primary school aged children in schools.
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
  • A passion for the progress of SEND primary and secondary school pupils.
  • An ability to work as part of a team.
  • An ability to build rapport quickly with students
  • Key qualities such as: Patience, Sympathetic, Strong-willed
