Cover Supervisor – Rhondda Cynon Taff

Location: Rhondda Cynon Taff
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time, until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £110–£125 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible

Are you a passionate and adaptable Cover Supervisor, recent graduate, or trainee teacher (PGCE in progress) looking to make a real difference in local schools?

We are seeking enthusiastic and flexible individuals to work across a range of Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools in Rhondda Cynon Taff. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in diverse classroom settings while supporting pupils in their learning.

About the Role
  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task
  • Deliver pre-prepared work and manage daily classroom routines
  • Maintain positive behaviour and promote a calm, productive learning environment
  • Support pupils with their tasks by answering questions and offering guidance
  • Follow school policies and communicate effectively with staff
  • Adapt quickly to different subjects, classes, and age groups

Requirements

Teaching Personnel provides guidance and support for obtaining:

  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Two recent professional references
