Could you be the confident, adaptable Cover Supervisor a thriving school in Bournemouth is looking for this September?

GSL Education are excited to present an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic school in Bournemouth, Dorset, from September 2025. This role is to maintain a positive and structured classroom environment without the regular class teacher.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you’ll provide classroom supervision in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a calm, focused atmosphere. You’ll follow set lesson plans, manage behaviour effectively, and help keep students engaged in their learning journey across a range of subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects to school students.
• Supervise pupils in the classroom, ensuring work is completed to expectations.
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and productive learning environment.
• Support student progress through guidance, encouragement, and reinforcement.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.
• Provide brief feedback to teaching staff on student conduct and progress.
• Uphold school safeguarding procedures and demonstrate professional conduct.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working in an educational setting is desirable, though not essential.
• Confident classroom presence and ability to manage behaviour calmly and effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
• Availability to work full-time from September 2025.
• Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
