Job Opportunity: Full-Time Cover Supervisor (PAYE) - Immediate Start. Location: Rotherham. School Type: Large Secondary School. Start Date: ASAP. Contract: Long-Term (Full-Time). Pay Type: PAYE ONLY - No Umbrella Companies or Hidden Fees.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a confident and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a large secondary school in Rotherham on a long-term, full-time basis, starting ASAP.

This is a PAYE contract - meaning you will be paid directly, with no umbrella companies involved. You\'ll receive accurate, transparent pay with no unexpected deductions and full access to holiday pay and pension contributions, as per PAYE entitlements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise lessons in the absence of teaching staff, using pre-prepared materials.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school\'s policies.
  • Ensure a calm and productive learning environment.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student participation and behaviour.
  • Support students during independent work and answer general queries.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils (e.g. in a school, coaching, mentoring, or youth work).
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and classroom management skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
