A leading global bank is looking for a candidate who will provide leadership in capital management projects and support deal teams in the capital approval process. The ideal candidate will possess strong credit skills, experience in client coverage, and the ability to multitask in a complex banking environment. This is a full-time role based in London, UK.

Job description
Job Purpose
  • Ensure efficient and optimal use of capital in Europe, MEA and the UK by leading capital optimisation initiatives and facilitating Banking Balance Sheet Forum (BBSF) discussions
  • Support Parent Account Managers in GCM in onboarding and day-to-day relationship management for Leverage Finance, Sponsor-Owned and IPO prospect clients, ensuring strong partnership with ICM, Risk, GAM, IB and LevFin
  • Lead strategic projects (incl. Red Zone Review, Risk Weighted Asset Management, Forecasting and Franchise Reviews)
  • Analyse client and franchise data and present to global and regional seniors
  • Liaise with NAM, LATAM and APAC GCM partners to ensure globally consistent practices
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and active participation in Capital Management projects (Red Zone Review, Risk Weighted Asset Management, Forecasting, Franchise Reviews)
  • Support deal teams in Banking Balance Sheet Forum discussions and throughout capital approval process. Review deal submissions, validate assumptions, provide recommendation and coordinate BBSF no-objection/ capital approvals, applying prudent capital management analysis and ensuring capital allocation in line with Citi Shareholder Returns Targets
  • Actively support in onboarding and coverage of clients from a Corporate Banking perspective to help cross-sell full spectrum of Citi products and services
  • Responsible for ongoing credit monitoring (evaluating public filings, research reports, operations, business plans, and financial forecasts) for clients in the portfolio, alongside IRAU and Leverage Portfolio Group
  • Help develop Analyst members’ coverage & credit skills
