Job description
Core Subject Teachers Needed - Specialist Provisions & PRUs

Teach, inspire, and transform outcomes for vulnerable learners.

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a wide range of specialist settings, including PRUs (Pupil Referral Units), SEMH schools, and complex learning needs provisions, and we are seeking dedicated Core Subject Teachers (English, Maths, Science, Humanities, ICT, etc.) who want to make a real difference.

Who We're Looking For
  • Are qualified (QTS/QTLS) and experienced in KS3-KS4 curriculum
  • Have taught in mainstream, specialist provisions, or alternative settings
  • Are adaptable, trauma-informed, and confident managing diverse learning needs
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Differentiate lessons for pupils with SEMH, behavioural needs, or complex learning needs
  • Manage small classes or 1:1 teaching environments
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may have disengaged from learning
  • Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and behaviour teams
  • Implement behaviour regulation and de-escalation strategies (Team Teach advantageous)
The Role

You will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to pupils who require tailored support. Many pupils may have missed periods of education or have additional needs, so creativity, patience, and resilience are key. These roles are exceptionally rewarding and allow you to see visible progress in pupils' confidence and achievement.
