Role Overview

The role of the Contracts Manager - Commercial Flooring will involve:

• Contracts Manager position overseeing various commercial flooring projects such as vinyl, laminate, wood, carpets and carpet tile
• Monitoring all site activity; organising all site workers, collating risk assessments and carrying out health and safety checks
• Organising the delivery of all materials that will be needed on site and ensuring they arrive on time
• Ensuring projects are running smoothly and that project deadlines are adhered to, whilst maintaining project cost plans
• Liaising with clients and providing project reports
• Attending pre-contract meetings and progress meetings with clients
• Managing projects ranging in value from £250,000 to circa £2,000,000

Ideal Applicant

• Must be a Contracts Manager within the construction industry working for a subcontractor or main contractor
• Ideally will have sound technical knowledge of the flooring market sector vinyl, laminate, wood, carpets and carpet tile
• Dealt with project sizes £250,000+
• Ability to gain DBS / EL1 security checks
• Must have excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
• Professional and highly organised
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
