Contracts Manager - (Facilities Management)

A well-established and highly respected facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of sites. With operations spanning multiple sectors and a reputation for service excellence in cleaning, security, catering, hard services and integrated facilities management, this is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at a senior level.

Position: Contracts Manager

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + package

Contract Type: Permanent

Start date: Immediately available

About the Role

The Contracts Manager will act as the primary point of contact for ensuring the smooth delivery of services across multiple education & public sites. This role combines strategic oversight with operational management, requiring a balance of leadership, compliance, client engagement and financial control.

Responsibilities
  • Designing, implementing and monitoring operational procedures that align with both client requirements and organisational standards.
  • Ensuring that all sites operate in line with ISO standards, contractual obligations, and service level agreements.
  • Leading, motivating and supporting both direct employees and subcontractors to achieve consistent, high-quality results.
  • Building strong, long-term partnerships with client decision-makers, proactively identifying opportunities for service improvement and growth.
  • Overseeing budgets, monitoring expenditure, and ensuring cost-effective delivery without compromising on quality.
  • Providing tactical support to senior management, contributing to long-term business planning and service innovation.
Candidate Profile
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the resilience to handle complex challenges.
  • A proven track record in managing commercial contract cleaning and maintenance ideally within education environments.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing multi-site operations, including staff development and subcontractor oversight.
