Overview

We are recruiting a Contracts Manager at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Penallta House

Team: Procurement and Information Services

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization. We pay an attractive salary of £51,356 - £54,495 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • The postholder will lead the strategic oversight and delivery of Caerphilly Council’s long-term supply partner contract for building materials and services.
  • Shape contract management strategies, drive stakeholder engagement, and ensure effective risk and performance management.
  • Work across the Council to champion standardized practices, foster innovation, and support continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement policy, ensure compliance with procurement regulations, and leverage data analytics to inform decision-making and performance monitoring.
Qualifications
  • A strong requirement: a relevant Level 5 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (e.g., Contract Management, Level 5 ILM).
  • The ability to lead and support a team of Contract Management Professionals.
  • Experience within a Contract Management environment of a large organisation.
