A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Contract Manager / Operations Manager to oversee the operation of new sites in Surrey. This role involves managing subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and fostering strong client relationships. An ideal candidate will have excellent commercial acumen and project management skills. Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses are offered.
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 plus bonus package

A privately owned Developer / Contractor who are undergoing a period of growth urgently require an Operations Manager / Contract Manager who has excellent commercial acumen that can effectively manage all sub-contractors and costings on a variety of small developments and contracts.
Job purpose
Leading the office to manage the set up and operation of new sites (which can either be private speculative developments, or as a contractor under the JCT framework).
Fostering existing sub-contractor relationships and forming new relationships with sub-contractors who have not previously worked for the company.
A key aspect of this role will be the financial monitoring and program monitoring of individual projects to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Key responsibilities
Health, safety and environmental
By example, set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HS&E procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and legal obligations.
Allocate HS&E responsibilities and duties for site personnel, check understanding and provide training as necessary.
Maintain and manage construction sites and subcontractors, ensuring all subcontractors follow the relevant procedures and processes.
Oversee and ensure that HSE-related documents are kept up to date and undertake senior manager site inspections, ensuring that audits and reports are produced, liaising with the necessary parties.
Customer relations
Build and maintain relationships with both the client and external customers.
Chair and lead meetings with the customer and report on progress to date.
Ensure that works are carried out in a manner which minimises community impact.
