Job Description

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you’ll :

  • Play a key role in enhancing operational performance across all areas of production.
  • You will identify, develop, and deliver improvements in manufacturing processes, working closely with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to achieve measurable results.
  • Your focus will be on optimising manufacturing performance through data-driven analysis, lean manufacturing techniques, and structured problem-solving. This includes conducting time and motion studies, reducing waste, improving productivity, and implementing sustainable efficiency improvements.
  • You’ll be responsible for supporting capital projects, developing standard operating procedures, and ensuring that continuous improvement initiatives are embedded within daily operations.
  • The Continuous Improvement Engineer will also use lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping to streamline production flow and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience

To be successful in this Continuous Improvement Engineer role, you should have :

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or mechanical engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience conducting time studies, work measurement, and process optimisation.
  • Track record of waste reduction, productivity improvement, and cost control.
  • Experience of working with maintenance and production teams to deliver reliability improvements.
  • Minimum HNC in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred).
