Content and Engagement Manager

Maternity leave cover - 13 month contract

About Mobilise

Mobilise is a social care tech startup business, and has become the UK's fastest growing online provider of support for the UK's 13.6 million unpaid adult carers (someone who supports a family member or friend due to illness, disability, mental ill health or substance misuse issues). We believe caring for a family member, friend or neighbour should be properly supported so that together we care and thrive.

We've worked with 40+ local authorities and the NHS to find new ways to support carers in their areas. We have ambitious plans to grow the number of clients we work with, so that we can reach more carers and develop new tools.

We're a small but growing team with 24 full and part time members - many of whom have experience of caring. We work remotely, with one day a week working together in London. We are an inclusive employer, valuing diversity and the unique perspectives each individual brings.

We believe passionately in our mission, so we work hard to be ambitious in the change we make. We bring our whole selves to work, we support each other to learn and grow - including through learning from mistakes (and even celebrating them!). As a values led organisation our people have a values led approach.

The Role

Engaging with unpaid carers is the bread and butter of the support we provide, and the Content and Engagement Manager role is central to our ability to have a deep and meaningful impact on the lives of the community we support.

As well as being the arbiter of quality, you'll implicitly understand that you can't make change without being heard. As a result, you'll champion and create high‑performing content, social and email marketing campaigns that really make a difference.

Day to day, you'll lead the planning and execution of our campaigns, from community listening to creative ideation, on to production. Making sure that carers can continue to rely on Mobilise for high‑quality, engaging information, advice, guidance and even some humour. You'll be prepared to tear up the plan in pursuit of timely communication that gets people's attention.

You'll need to be highly empathetic and an excellent listener to dial in to the trials and tribulations of caring life - but you'll be well supported by experts‑through‑experience within the company.

As a technology company, data sits at the heart of what we do. So after publication, you'll analyse the results, reflect, adapt and design tests to continue to learn and work out what makes our audience tick.

You'll also help tell our story to partners and commissioners, creating thoughtful, insight‑led LinkedIn content and articles that shine a light on the difference Mobilise makes. Working closely with our Partnerships and Business Development teams, you'll make sure our work is seen, understood, and celebrated.

You'll take a pragmatic approach to managing our content and engagement budgets, using them wisely to amplify impact, balance team workload, and keep our creative ambitions achievable.

  • Share examples of your writing and other content you've created including work on video.
  • Use Canva like a pro. Background? What background?
