Job description

Location: South East England,United Kingdom

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicatedConsultant Radiologistfor a hospital in the South-East of England

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Duties :
  • Interpret and report on various imaging modalities, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Perform interventional procedures (e.g., biopsies, drainages, and angiograms) when necessary.
  • Ensure patient safety during imaging procedures.
  • Teaching and Training :
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors, radiographers, and trainees.
  • Participate in educational activities, including lectures, workshops, and case discussions.
  • Contribute to the training and development of medical students and residents.
  • Research and Audit :
  • Engage in clinical research, quality improvement projects, and audit activities.
  • Stay updated with advancements in radiology and contribute to evidence-based practice.
  • Administrative Duties :
  • Attend departmental meetings and participate in service planning.
  • Contribute to the development of protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Full Specialist Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) .
  • License to Practice as a Consultant Radiologist.
  • Fellowship or equivalent qualification in Radiology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in various imaging modalities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
