An independent healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join their mental health team at HMP Gartree. This role involves delivering clinical care, supervising mental health services, and engaging with complex cases in a rewarding environment. We offer up to £186,480 per annum for part-time hours and a supportive team structure.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our mental health team at HMP Gartree. HMP Gartree is a category B prison based in Market Harborough, housing around 650 patients. You will be working closely with the multidisiplinary team, including an integrated mental health team to deliver Psychiatric support to adult males mainly aged 28-50 and most of whom have complex mental health and historic trauma needs. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Hours: 20 hours per week works across 2.5 days. The site is also able to offer this as a rolling rota working 2 days one week and 3 days the next; we are also flexible regarding which days are worked Monday to Friday. This position is 20 hours per week; you’ll receive an annual salary up to £186,480 per annum FTE – depending on experience.
You will be part of a team of 20 plus experienced and supportive Consultant psychiatrists; you will be able to attend monthly Consultant's meeting and 1:1 clinical supervision, bespoke induction including our Introducing Health in Justice training course, and a competency framework.
