Job description
Overview

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) has a vacancy for a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist. Dual sub specialty interests would be welcome. The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to the general work of the department including the general diagnostic radiology on call.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Consultant paediatric radiology services with emphasis on paediatric imaging; interest in intervention is welcome but not essential.
  • Operate as part of the department’s on-call arrangements at one of the two sites (Salford or Oldham) with frequency dependent on base site; provide prospective cover for annual and study leave.
  • Contribute to the general diagnostic work of the department and support the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with other consultants and teams to develop and improve radiology services within a shared governance framework.
Qualifications and Requirements

  • Be on the specialist register for Radiology or be within 6 months of CCT or equivalent at the time of interview.
Base and Special Interest

The successful candidate will have a primary base at Salford or Oldham, dependent on preference and any second sub specialty interest.
