A mental health services provider is looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join their South Wiltshire Intensive Service team in Salisbury. This pivotal role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to assess and treat patients, ensuring their needs are met in a community setting. The ideal candidate will have a medical qualification, relevant clinical experience, and excellent communication skills. Support for continuing professional development and research opportunities are provided.
The Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to work with the South Wiltshire Intensive Service. It is a great opportunity to work within an established multi‑disciplinary team. Working with a team who believe in collaborative work and have the patient at the centre of their practise. The Intensive service is the `gate keeping' and discharging agent for Inpatient services.
The post holder will play a key role in the multi-disciplinary Team providing advice and assessment of patients under the Intensive service, liaising and working closely with the Inpatient Unit to assist with discharge planning.
Salisbury has a weekly Academic programme. In addition, there is a monthly PDP group and Peer Supervision. CPD activities are supported. The post offers study leave arrangements as well as good research, service development and leadership opportunities.
