Overview

Construction Project Managers to cover the Central / East of England.

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and highly organized Construction Project Manager to manage multiple concurrent construction projects across diverse programmes in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience handling high project volumes, balancing competing priorities, and driving efficiency while ensuring quality, safety, and budget compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Programme & Multi-Project Coordination: Oversee and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously across our ambitious delivery programme.
  • Prioritise resources, timelines, and tasks to optimise delivery and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders from across the business to align project goals with broader business objectives.
  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain project programmes ensuring these are kept up to date and communicated to PMO.
  • Manage and build key supplier relationships ensuring that performance meets IVC expectations and escalate non-performance accordingly.
  • Quickly identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to maintain momentum.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and control budgets across multiple projects, ensuring cost efficiencies and profitability.
  • Review tenders, negotiate contracts, and manage costs in line with approval processes and programme budgets.
  • Stakeholder & Team Management: Lead diverse project teams across different sites, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration.
  • Engage regularly with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain transparency and alignment.
  • Quality, Safety & Risk Control: Enforce strict adherence to H&S and quality standards across all projects.
  • Proactively identify risks related to programmes, resource constraints, and compliance and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Provide comprehensive progress reports, highlighting risks, delays, and resource needs to the senior team.
  • Drive process improvements and best practices to enhance delivery efficiency in a high-volume environment.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years managing multiple concurrent construction projects in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with proven ability to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience using project/programme management tools (e.g. MS Project).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
