Overview

Join us as a Construction Manager to shape the future of London’s infrastructure. Thames Water is looking for a passionate and experienced Construction Manager to lead delivery on the Northern Outfall Sewer project, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance from design through to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure environmental compliance in asset design and delivery; monitor delivery performance and work with contractors to address issues and drive improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with current CDM regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Integration team to ensure project deliverables are clear and agreed upon by all stakeholders.
  • Support the contractor and Operations liaison during the design process, promoting innovation, best practices, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Engage with Asset Management, Engineering and Operations to identify synergies and apply lessons learned from previous projects to agree on effective solutions.
  • Support the assessment and appointment of contractors.
  • Verify and approve project plans (Project Delivery Plan, Commissioning Plan, test plans).
  • Stress test contractor programmes and ensure compatibility with other projects and isolations.
  • Assess and report weekly progress against the programme.

This role will be based at Maple Lodge and is hybrid. The working pattern is 36 hours per week, with approximately 80% on site and 20% hybrid working.

The successful candidate must have a driving licence and access to a car. The role includes a car allowance of £5,800.
