On behalf of our client, we are seeking a talented and ambitious Construction Associate (3+ PQE) to join a highly regarded Non-Contentious Construction & Engineering team. There are roles in Leeds and Manchester available.

About the Team

Our client's Construction & Engineering Group includes more than 100 specialist lawyers, including 24 Partners, providing a comprehensive service across all areas of the construction industry.

The team's work spans a wide variety of sectors — including commercial buildings, residential and mixed-use developments, civil and process plant engineering, energy, infrastructure, transport, and utilities — across both the public and private sectors.

They also work closely with other practice areas such as Real Estate, Banking, and Projects, offering clients integrated legal solutions and sector-leading expertise.

This is a Tier 1-ranked team known for its innovation, collaboration, and people-first culture, with strong national and international connections.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Advising a wide range of clients including government bodies, sponsors, funders, developers, employers, operators, contractors, sub-contractors, and professional teams.
  • Providing strategic legal support on procurement strategies, facilities management, and dispute avoidance/resolution mechanisms.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction and engineering contracts across a variety of sectors and project types.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor who delivers timely and practical solutions.
  • Collaborating with national and international colleagues on high-value, complex matters.
  • Benefiting from robust learning, development, and mentoring frameworks to support your professional growth.
About You
  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 3 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law.
  • Experience advising on construction and engineering projects within the UK.
  • Sound technical understanding of JCT, NEC, and other standard form contracts.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and a strong team player.
  • Desire to progress within a high-performing, internationally recognised team
