Company Secretarial and Legal Administrator

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-orientated Administrator to join our Company Secretarial & Legal team here at Marston’s. You’ll be joining a small, friendly but busy team and the role plays a crucial part in supporting the Company Secretary & Legal function, by providing high-quality administrative support across legal and governance matters, including contract administration, dealing with shareholder queries, and maintaining important company records and filings.

For the right candidate, there’s also an opportunity to support our sustainability strategy by joining our sustainability taskforce.

This is a fantastic role for someone who thrives in a busy, dynamic environment, is confident dealing with people at all levels of seniority and has excellent organisational skills.

This is a full-time role based at our fantastic Pub Support Centre in Wolverhampton, which offers an open-plan environment with collaborative working spaces—and even its own pub! The role is open to both internal and external candidates (if internal, please inform your Line Manager if you apply).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with company secretarial duties, including dealing with shareholder queries, maintaining statutory registers, preparing board packs, and with support, assisting with the preparation of the Annual Report and other filings at Companies House.
  • Provide administrative support for legal matters, including contract management, document preparation, and obtaining signatures.
  • Support corporate governance processes, helping to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
  • Coordinate board and committee meetings, including scheduling, where required minute-taking, maintaining accurate records and action tracking.
  • General administration to support the wider team, including processing invoices, raising purchase orders, maintain records and filing systems, booking travel and support with diary management.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent engagement and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional approach and discretion.
  • Previous experience in an administrative support role and working collaboratively as part of a team.
