Successful applicants will be invited to attend a Selection day at Carew House, Bodmin on 27th February 2026. This will be a morning or afternoon to be confirmed.

We are looking for a caring, motivated and dynamic community nurse to join our friendly, professional team.

You will be part of the Liskeard-Looe Community Nursing Team and work between two bases: Oaktree Surgery and Looe Police Station, covering Liskeard, Looe and the surrounding areas. You will collaborate closely with GPs, health and social care colleagues, therapists and voluntary organisations. Commitment to teamwork and innovative delivery of excellent care standards is required. Enthusiasm for community nursing as an autonomous practitioner and a desire for ongoing professional development is essential.

You should also have an understanding of the changing climate of care delivery in the community.

Shift patterns: 0800‑1600 and 1400‑2200.

This is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county, including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.

Following an initial induction and ongoing clinical supervision, you will be responsible for:

• Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, without direct supervision, to patients, carers and relatives within their home environment.
• Enabling patients to enjoy maximum independence and optimum quality of life.
• Working in partnership with patients and carers to offer support and advice and promote informed choice.
• Providing effective, evidence‑based care in line with competency, training record and organisational policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Supporting all locality teams by working flexibly, moving to where the service demands are greatest on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

• Registered Nurse (Adult)
• Evidence of recent relevant professional development
• Ability to act as a mentor for student university placements; having the mentoring qualification or willingness to work toward it and attend mentorship updates as required.
• Current Professional Registration – NMC

• Hold a post‑registration diploma or be working toward a degree
