Overview

Community Falls Physiotherapist – BHR Falls Team (Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge). Closing date: 06 October 2025.

An exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join the BHR Falls Team as Falls Physiotherapist B6. The BHR Falls team provides multidisciplinary care to patients across the Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge.

Main duties of the job

The service aims to assess and treat frail patients in their own homes and clinics and avoid unnecessary hospital admission. The therapist will be supported with continuing professional development and will be trained to competently assess holistically and order equipment necessary to keep a patient safe at home, enabling activities of daily living. The role requires working as part of a multidisciplinary team, applying current evidence‑based therapy techniques, conducting thorough assessments, and engaging with MDT members internally and externally. Support will be provided to apply for professional development training, such as NMP and advanced care practitioner courses. The successful candidate will need a UK valid driving license and own a car.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period unless they are currently part way through a probationary period or are a current bank staff member.

About us

NELFT places great importance on welcoming new starters. All new starters join on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training and systems training, with equipment allocation. The induction is held at the Trust head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement

This post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum £4,714 to a maximum £5,941 per annum pro rata for part time).
