Job Title: Commodity Buyer – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

What You’ll Do

You’ll take ownership of a defined group of commodities, driving cost reduction projects and managing supplier performance. You’ll create commodity strategies aligned with business objectives, issue RFQs and tenders, and identify opportunities for commercial gain. You’ll also negotiate with suppliers, monitor commodity price movements, and develop risk management strategies.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a procurement professional with thorough knowledge of sourcing, negotiation, supplier management, and global procurement practices. You’ll have excellent commercial acumen, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence outcomes. Experience in cross-functional collaboration and relationship building is essential.

Bonus if you have:
  • Professional qualification in Purchasing or Supply (e.g., C)
  • Relevant business degree
  • Experience in commodity management within a manufacturing environment
