Commercial Manager
Managing meat categories for a major retailer

This role offers loads of potential for future career progression. The company offers loads of training and personal development, as well as having a track record of promoting people who can have a positive impact on the retail relationships.

You'll have loads of access to the customer to make things happen. You'll be measured on category growth and increasing market share within the customer base. Whilst you can't give the products away, the business will offer loads of incentives to drive volume through the business. You'll be pushing at an open door to make changes and deliver results, which will see you rewarded and promoted.

There will be some challenges to overcome. You'll need to build relationships with the production teams and site managers to get the volume of the products that you need. There'll be work to do around the carcass balance and creating a portfolio of products that works commercially. You'll need to bridge the gap with the customer and ensure you are utilising all of the opportunities in the market...but then, you're likely doing that already, and it's nothing you can't handle, right?!
