Overview

Sanctuary provide in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. Commercial Manager

Cumbernauld, Lanarkshire

£61,940 per year, plus Company car or car allowance

Temporary position for up to 12 months

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

The main purpose of this role is to manage the central commercial surveying and estimating function in line with Property Services and the Group\'s objectives, critically assessing proposed works within set parameters for financial and strategic compatibility to ensure they meet the needs of the Group\'s customers and wider community and provide support contractor and supplier management objectives.

The role of Commercial Manager will include:

  • Leading and managing the Central Commercial Surveying and Estimating team ensuring best-practice and consistency of service
  • Developing, introducing and owning processes and procedures to ensure optimised commercial and operational performance and all works proposals represent excellent value for money for Group and our Customers as well as meeting all regional commercial, operational and financial objectives
  • Enacting budget measures over agreed workstreams and cost thresholds on behalf of Regional Operations managing the approval process within set delegated authority limits
  • Working with regional commercial teams to manage and ensure that all variations to works are appropriately captured, priced and approved
  • Supporting the development and introduction of improved end-to-end processes and procedures over the purchasing of goods and services within Property Services
  • Collaborate, co-ordinate and support the Property Services contractor and supplier management objectives with regional and procurement teams via the provision of robust performance data and reports
  • Providing and presenting accurate management information and analysis to regional and senior management teams including, and not limited to, KPI performance versus agreed SLA\'s on functions processes

Skills and experiences:

  • Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification in construction, surveying or relatable sector
  • Experience in undertaking a similar role or strong conceptual understanding of the functions purpose
  • Proven achievement working in a high-volume commercially focussed environments, effectively managing related risks
  • Proven experience of managing services within a budget
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
