Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead and drive the UK & EU commercial operations during a one-year fixed-term contract starting in January 2026. This pivotal role will oversee full P&L responsibility, commercial strategy, and team leadership across multiple markets. The successful candidate will lead a team of 15 across Sales, Training, and Trade Marketing functions, ensuring continued growth, profitability, and brand excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and inspire a commercial team of 15 across the UK, France, and Germany.
  • Directly manage: Sales Controller UK, Training Manager UK, Trade Marketing Executive UK & EU, Sales & Training Manager France, Sales & Training Manager Germany.
  • Develop and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture.

Commercial & Strategic Delivery

  • Own the UK & EU P&L, delivering against revenue and profit targets.
  • Develop and execute annual commercial strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Drive sustainable growth across wholesale, retail, spa, and e-commerce partnerships.
  • Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities in key European markets.

Sales & Training

  • Ensure commercial excellence and consistent delivery of sales targets across regions.
  • Oversee development and rollout of training programs to elevate brand standards.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to adapt strategy accordingly.

Trade Marketing & Brand Development

  • Oversee trade marketing execution across the UK and EU to maximise visibility, sell-through, and brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with global marketing to ensure alignment with international brand strategy.
  • Support launch of new products and initiatives across regional channels.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Provide regular performance updates to the executive team.
  • Analyse sales data, market share, and profitability to guide decision-making.
  • Manage budgets effectively to deliver maximum ROI.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial roles, ideally within luxury beauty, skincare, or premium consumer goods.
  • Proven track record of managing full P&L responsibility across multi-market operations.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and building strong customer relationships across the UK and EU.
  • Experience managing cross-cultural teams with direct reports in multiple countries.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English (additional European languages desirable, especially French or German).
  • Agile, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
